ICC Women World Cup Points Table: India climb to the top with thumping win over WI, Australia slip to 2nd
India had climbed to the top of the table with their convincing win over arch-rivals Pakistan, but the likes of Australia and New Zealand leapfrogged the Indians, who slipped to third. Mithali Raj and Co had the chance to go top had they won against New Zealand, but a disappointing defeat saw them slip to 5th, outside of the semi-final spots.
Now with a win over West Indies, India have wrestled back control and gone to the top on net run-rate, increasing their chances of qualifying to the next round.
