Apple iPhone SE 3 to Xiaomi 12 series: Smartphone launches expected in March 2022

February was a busy month for many tech enthusiasts throughout the world, with Mobile World Congress 2022 (MWC) finally moving away from the online model.

March will be no exception. A slew of new phones are expected to be launched – across various price brackets – this month. Here is a list of all the top smartphones and accessories set to launch this month.

Apple iPhone SE 3 5G

The iPhone SE 3 5G has been in the headlines for quite some time, and it is likely to make its debut on March 8, alongside several other devices expected to launch at Apple’s spring event titled ‘Peak Performance’, that’ll take place on March 8.

According to rumours, the iPhone SE 3 will have a lot of advancements under the hood, including an A15 Bionic Chipset with a 5G connection. The iPhone SE 3 is expected to be priced at USD 299 (roughly Rs 22,700) and its design is expected to remain unchanged.

Redmi Note 11 Pro Series

The Redmi Note 11 series has already seen three devices released in India, and Xiaomi is set to release two more, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus.

Except for the fact that the Note 11 Pro has a MediaTek Helio G96 4G chipset and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus has a 5G enabled Snapdragon 695 SoC, both phones are identical in terms of specs and features.

The Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus will also include a triple camera arrangement rather than the Note 11 Pro’s quad-camera.

A 5000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging will power the phones.

Xiaomi announced that the Redmi Note 11 Pro series would be available in India on March 9 at 12 noon.

Xiaomi 12 Series

The Xiaomi 12 Series is the company’s flagship series, and it’s one of the first phones to be released with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Both phones, the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro have 120Hz AMOLED displays, but the 12 Pro has a better resolution.

The series is expected to launch in international markets on March 15.

Xiaomi will also introduce its latest smartwatch on March 9, 2022.

The watch was initially only available in Germany and had a 1.55-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 × 320 pixels.

OnePlus 10 Pro

The OnePlus 10 Pro was first introduced in China and is now making its way to international markets. The phone has been confirmed to launch in India in March, and its announcement is expected around March 15.

It is equipped with a 48MP Sony IMX789 main sensor and is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip with up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM.

Nothing Phone (1)

Carl Pei’s Nothing has been teasing a debut for some time, and the company’s first phone could be titled Nothing Phone (1).

There isn’t much information available regarding its specifications or design for now, but we do know that it will use a Qualcomm SoC, most likely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

The phone is expected to launch at the end of this month or latest by the first half of April.

Samsung Galaxy M23 5G

Samsung’s entry-level lineup is expected to be updated. The Galaxy M23 5G was recently spotted in the Google Play console database, suggesting that the phone may be available shortly.

This could be a low-cost 5G phone with a Snapdragon 750G chipset. It’ll have at least 6 GB RAM, and 128 GB of internal storage. The smartphone is believed to have an FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2408.

The Samsung Galaxy M23 5G is also expected to launch by the end of March.

Samsung Galaxy F23

Samsung will unveil its new Galaxy F-series smartphone, Samsung Galaxy F23 5G, on March 8, 2022. The smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart.

The phone will be powered by Qualcomm’s first Snapdragon 750G SoC. Flipkart has also disclosed some significant specs of the Samsung Galaxy F23 5G, like a triple-camera arrangement on the back.

Oppo Find X5 series

Oppo’s Find X5 series, which debuted recently in China, was showcased on display at MWC 2022. The phone could arrive in India this month.

The Oppo Find X5 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chip, whilst the Find X5 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Both devices are camera-centric, with the Find X5 Pro sporting a 50 MP main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 13MP telephoto camera.

Oppo Find X5 Lite variant is expected to target the upper mid-range market.

Realme 9 5G series

The Realme 9 5G and Realme 9 SE 5G will be released in India on March 10 at 12:30 pm IST. At the same event, Realme will also unveil the Realme C35, which is a budget smartphone.

The MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC will power the Realme 9 5G, while the more powerful 6nm Snapdragon 778 chip will power the SE model. The Realme 9 5G series will have a 144Hz refresh rate display and a primary camera with a resolution of 48MP. The 144Hz screen, on the other hand, will be exclusive to the 9 SE.

Realme is also adding other new members to its family of wearables and tech accessories including the TechLife Watch S100 and TechLife Buds N100 at Realme’s event that is scheduled to take place on March 10.
