Chandigarh, December 7, 2021: Bhartiya Kisan Union leader Gurnam Singh Channi demanded the Centre to follow the Punjab model for providing compensation to the deceased farmers.
“For compensation to over 700 deceased farmers, we want the Centre to follow the Punjab model; Rs 5 lakh compensation and a job as announced by Punjab govt should be implemented by Govt of India as well,” said Gurnam Singh Charuni, BKU.
