- Tireless efforts of Member of Parliament from Sri Anandpur Sahib & former Union Minister Manish Tewari for the development of Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha constituency have borne fruit as the Punjab Government has approved the up gradation of Banga-Garhshankar-Sri Anandpur Sahib road. In a press statement issued here on Friday, Tewari said that the Punjab Government has sanctioned Rs. 40 crore for this road development project.
Lok Sabha Member Manish Tewari informed that this road connects two holy cities Sri Amritsar Sahib and Sri Anandpur Sahib. “This is also one of the main road connectivity routes for the devotees of Mata Naina Devi who go to Mata Naina Day Mandir in Himachal Pardesh almost every year especially during the Savan Navratras,” he said.He especially thanked the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh for sanctioning this project which would benefit thousands of travelers and pilgrims He said that this was one of the major demands of the people of Sri Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha Constituency. Tewari said that he has also strongly raised voice for upgradation and strengthening of this important road in the Lok Sabha. He said that now this project has been approved by the Punjab Government for which he once again thanked the Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Further disclosing the facts he said that Rs 40 Crore has been approved for this road project and work would also start soon.
