Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh

The much-awaited meeting between Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and former Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu happened on Wednesday evening.
This was the second meeting between the two leaders after Sidhu resigned from the Cabinet in 2019.
The meeting over tea happened for nearly 45 minutes, before Sidhu left along with Sports Minister Rana Gurmeet Sodhi.
In the last meeting between the CM and Sidhu, Rana had then also accompanied him.
Though there is no official word from the chief minister’s office regarding the outcome of the meeting, Media Advisor to the Chief Minister Raveen Thukral shared a picture of the two leaders meeting with a caption, ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’.
Though there was no official word on the outcome of the meeting, sources said re-induction of Sidhu into the Cabinet is almost clear, with him being offered two portfolios of his interest.
Soon after the meeting Sidhi tweeted, “ Azad Raho Vicharoan Se Lekin Raho Sanskaroan Se.. Tankee Aas Aur Vishwas rahe Kirdaroan pe”.
