Sino-India talks: India, China agree to engage each other at military, diplomatic levels

New Delhi, March 12

India and China have agreed to continue holding talks at both military and diplomatic levels to reach complete disengagement of their troops, the Ministry of External Affairs said in a recent statement.

The two countries reviewed the situation in the Line of Control in Eastern Ladakh, MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said in an evening press briefing on Friday.

“India and China have agreed to maintain close communication and dialogue through both diplomatic and military channels,” MEA spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said.

“Agreement of disengagement in north and south bank of Pangong lake provided good basis to work for early resolution of remaining issues.”

The talks, he said, would continue until the two countries reach a “mutually acceptable solution for complete disengagement from all friction points at earliest”.

In the interim, he said, the two sides agreed to maintain stability at ground level and prevent any untoward incident
