Anna aides, RSS plotted to defame UPA govt: Congress

New Delhi, The Congress today played the “victim of circumstances” card as it accused Anna Hazare protégés of conspiring to defame it at the behest of the RSS. The party, however, didn’t say one unsavoury word against Anna, seeking to befriend him as days go by.“In 2010, the RSS launched a conspiracy to destabilise the Congress-led UPA government and to mislead the people. The Delhi-based Vivekananda Foundation was used to hatch this conspiracy and all its principal players from AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal and BJP’s Kiran Bedi to VK Singh and Ramdev stand exposed now. Today all top men in the government are past Vivekananda Foundation people,” former minister and Congress’ senior spokesperson Anand Sharma said.The party picked its ammunition to attack Hazare protégés from two developments of yesterday — former Kejriwal aide Kumar Vishwas’s remarks that both Kiran Bedi and VK Singh of the BJP used to tell Anna to go soft on the BJP during India against Corruption’s movement in 2010; another Anna movement participant Shanti Bhushan saying that Kejriwal took the help of Ramdev and Ravi Shankar in for engineering the anti-Congress and pro-Jan Lokpal wave.
