Deepika to star in Arundhati remake

Deepika Padukone seems to be on a roll! Just recently, it was announced that Deepika will be seen as Draupadi in the upcoming film Mahabharat, which also stars Aamir Khan. Apart from that, her next release is Chhapaak, co-starring Vikrant Massey. The latest buzz is that Deepika might be signing up another film very soon. The film is said to be the remake of Anushka Shetty-starrer Arundhati.

Reportedly, the rights for a Hindi remake of South film Arundhati have been bought and Deepika will play the lead. A huge success, the movie has already been remade in Bengali. It’s not yet clear whether Kodi Ramakrishna will be directing the film.
