Driving Naari Programme launched in Chandigarh
Akali Dal chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, Gurdaspur MP Sunny Deol, Patiala MP Preneet Kaur and AAP MP Bhagwant Mann among others took oath as the members of the 17th Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Taking the oath in English, Deol mistakenly said “withhold” instead of “uphold the sovereignty and integrity of the country”, which he quickly rectified.
Patiala MP Preneet Kaur was seen sporting a bandage on her forehead.
There was also light banter between BJP MPs and Mann after he ended his oath with the slogan of ‘Inqalab Zindabad’, while Sukhbir concluded with ‘Waheguruji ka Khalsa, Waheguruji de Fateh”.
Others oath-takers were Gurjeet Singh Aujla, Jasbir Singh Gill, Santokh Singh Chaudhary, Manish Tewari, Ravneet Bittu, Amar Singh and Mohammad Sadiq.
