Capt. Amarinder group decides to launch antidrug campaign on Jan 22 from Amritsar

Patiala, Congress Deputy Leader in the Lok Sabha and Amritsar MP Capt Amarinder Singh today made it categorically clear that the January 22 Amritsar rally is being organised by the Amritsar parliamentary constituency and there is no question of anyone else working out its modalities once again.

Capt Amarinder stated that the rally had already been planned during today’s meeting held at Patiala which was attended by the CLP leader, former PCC presidents, 35 sitting MLAs, MPs, former ministers and ex-MLAs and other state and district office bearers.

The Amritsar MP said, since the modalities had already been worked out and there was no question or need to repeat or duplicate the efforts by anybody else. “Everybody is welcome to join and support the rally which has been thoughtfully planned against the Akali-BJP government in the state and the BJP’s dual stand on drugs in particular”, he said.

Capt Amarinder advised all the concerned to avoid creating any confusion saying, “what has already been planned, decided and worked out, need not be re-planned, re-decided or reworked apparently in the misplaced desire of seeking credit”. Such people should better use and utilise their energies elsewhere instead of trying to duplicate what has already been decided and done, he remarked.
