Delhi Capitals will have to produce another special effort to beat the consistent Chennai Super Kings for the first time this season and make their maiden IPL final here tomorrow.
It was CSK who denied Delhi a top-two spot in the league standings with a crushing 80-run win at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium and the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led side stands in their way again, but this time the stakes are much higher in Qualifier 2.
Delhi’s tense win in the Eliminator here on Wednesday night is bound to provide an extra dose of motivation to the team going into the knockout game. Delhi, having already played a game here, will have the advantage of knowing the conditions better.
CSK, on the other hand, are used to playing big matches, having won three titles besides being runners-up four times. They were hammered by Mumbai Indians in Qualifier 1 but one can expect CSK to bounce back in style.
