Huawei has announced that it will bring the company’s fastest SuperCharge technology to India via the upcoming Mate 20 flagships.
Huawei says that the Mate 20 Series is designed to enable consumers to enjoy a rich, smartphone experience with higher intelligence, unparalleled battery lives and powerful camera performance. The Mate 20 Series also features improvements on battery life — it houses a large, high-density battery.
With the 40W Huawei SuperCharge 2.0, it can give the device up to 70 per cent charge in 30 minutes. The SuperCharge technology is TÜV Safety Certified. The fast and safe charging technology charges the device while maintaining a low device temperature, so users can have peace of mind while their devices are plugged in.
In a fast charging scenario, the activity may cause the lithium dendrites to form on the surface of the anode, which is a leading cause of battery safety issues. To ensure that batteries created are safer and deliver a longer battery life, Huawei has introduced the ultra-fast battery charging technology. It is fully compatible with the existing battery solutions and contains silicon and nitrogen-doped carbon materials.
Unlike traditional fast-charging solutions, ultra-fast charge employs a relatively low-voltage and high-current formula that aims to maximise the amount of current delivered into the device, while minimising efficiency losses and throttling. This innovation is based on electrochemical kinetics advancements, which enable ultra-fast charging batteries to support greater power efficiency and current input. Leveraging the nitrogen-doped carbon frame, Huawei improved the stability intercalation and deintercalation of lithium.
