Jakhar dares BJP state president to list even a single achievement of Modi government in last four years

Chandigarh, October 1- Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Mr. Sunil Jakhar today dared the BJP state president to list even a single achievement of Modi Government instead of worrying about the election promises of the state government of Congress in Punjab.

Mr. Jakhar said in a statement issued here today that if the BJP President wants to organize any ‘yatra’ than he should travel from Punjab to Delhi and examine the reality of election promises made by his own party before last general election held in 2014.

Mr. Jakhar said that all major election promises which were being made by the Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh during his poll campaign have been fulfilled by the state government. He said the farmer loan waiver scheme was implemented in the effective manner by the Punjab government, whereas neither the present government nor the previous Akali government in which BJP was allies did anything to resolve this huge burden of the farmers. Likewise, the last three crops have been procured without any difficulty, whereas during the previous regime, the farmers suffered so many days in mandies.

Mr. Jakhar said that the state government has concluded only 18 months in office till now whereas the central government is going to complete the term of five years and so far they should have completed all their election promises. Mr. Jakhar asked the BJP President, what he has to say about the achievements of the Union government about doubling the income of farmers and 2 crores jobs for youth every year.

Mr. Jakhar said that the Modi government has disturbed the budget of ordinary people, farmers, transporters and traders, by the uncontrolled prices hike of diesel and petrol. People are still waiting for Rs 15 lakhs bonus in their accounts.

The Lok Sabha MP said that the Modi government remained busy in coining new slogans all the past four and half years and did nothing to improve the life of common man in country. “But now the people of the country have come to understand the truth of the Modi government’s false slogans and people will teach them a lesson in the next general elections,” he added.
