Vidhu Jain murder case : CBI team reaches Malerkotla

Sangrur,  A five-member CBI team reached Malerkotla today for an investigation into the infamous Vidhu Jain murder case.
Eleven-year-old Vidhu was set afire on September 30 last year in broad daylight at Malerkotla, about 35 km from here.
After reaching the spot where Vidhu was burnt alive, the CBI team phoned the victim’s family members and asked them to join the investigations. But as Vidhu’s parents along with the victim’s younger brother have been residing in Ludhiana for the past several months, they could not reach Malerkotla today.
Vidhu’s uncle Prem Jain said the CBI officers called the family members to the PWD Rest House.
The CBI has started investigations into the case following the Punjab and Haryana High Court orders.
