New Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is set to take part in a tea-party on Saturday to collect funds for the party, has challenged the BJP to disclose the source of its funding .
“I challenge BJP, if they have got guts, they should disclose where their funds come from. AAP is getting donation from common people who have faith in us, they want to have tea with us,” said Kejriwal.
The AAP has organized a tea-party at Safdarjung Enclave in the national capital today to raise funds ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.
The party has claimed that all its supporters and believers of clean politics, who don’t want black money in politics, are coming forward to help raise funds.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, however, took a jibe at Kejjriwal’s fund raising tea-party by calling it ‘chai pe kharcha’.
“Prime Minister talked about ‘Chai pe charcha’ allowing people to have discussions over tea, whereas Kejriwalji has started ‘Chai pe Kharcha’,” said BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra.
