Chandigarh, August 24 : The Shiromani Akali Dal today said that the AICC President Mr. Rahul Gandhi is leading his partymen to attack the Sikh Guru Sahib, their Gurbani and Sikh community and latest was comparison of his own work with the work of Guru Nanak Dev ji which has shocked the whole community.
In a statement released head today, the SAD National Spokesman and the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara General Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that the sikh community is observing that since last few days attack on the writing of Sikh Guru Sahib, their history and on the community have increased considerably. He said that now the latest has come from the Gandhi scion who surprising and shocking compared his own works with the works of first Sikh Guru Guru Nanak Dev ji. He said that earlier too he has said that the election symbol of the Congress party ‘hand’ was infact the hand of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Mr.Sirsa said that this is most shameful and highly objectionable act of the Congress party whose conduct won’t be tolerated by the sikh community.
The DSGMC General Secretary said that it appears that fresh narrative of the Gandhi scion is in continuity with the conduct of his ancestors as her grand mother Indira Gandhi not only attacked Sri Darbar Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib but also led a nefarious campaign against the sikh community. He said that similarly his father Rajiv Gandhi led the mobs that killed thousand of Sikhs in the National Capital and elsewhere in the country and it was successive Congress government of the centre and state which ensure that those guilty of this worst every genocide on the world go scot free. He said that it is also surprising to see that Mr. Rahul Gandhi is still not ready to admit that it was his partymen who carried out sikh genocide in 1984. He said that every law abiding citizen of the nation is aware of the Congress party’s role in it.
He said that since last few days this phenomenon is being witnessed in Punjab also where the Cabinet Minister of the state government has launched a well planned attack on the Guru Sahiban and their Gurbani. He said that one Minister Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal is comparing the holy Guru Granth Sahib with a book and another Minister Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa is misinterpreting writing of first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He said that it appears that the AICC President has issued specific instructions to his leadership for launching attack on the Sikh Community and their Panthic Institutions.
Mr. Sirsa reminded the Congress President that Sikhs never tolerate anything against their Guru Sahiban and this campaign of the Congress will be nipped in the bud itself.
