Making life easier for you, Google’s Phone app will start blocking out unwanted calls on its own. The Phone app is now capable of automatically filtering out calls detected as spam and sending them to voicemail, The Verge reported.
“If the spam callers leave a voicemail — you know, like the usual spiel about charges being filed against you over back-owed taxes — that will still find its way to your voicemail inbox. But again, there won’t be a notification about it,” the report stated.
Most important of all, you won’t be getting constantly interrupted by a vibrating phone as the calls come in. You can enable the option with a simple toggle from the settings area of the Phone app.
If the app detects the spam call, there won’t be any ringing or notification to alert you. It will be filtered without you knowing about it. You can find the filtered calls in the call history. Furthermore, when the Phone app suspects a spam call, it alerts a user by turning phone’s entire screen red (when it rings).
