ED grills singer Gippy, wife for hours

Jalandhar,  Punjabi singer-cum-actor Gippy Grewal and his wife Ravneet Grewal today appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) pertaining to alleged violations of the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
The couple was questioned for seven hours. They arrived at 10.10 am and left at 2.10 pm. The couple again arrived at the office at 3.05 pm. They were there till 7 pm.
Questioned by mediapersons, the agitated singer said: “Why should I tell you anyhting?”.
Gippy had earlier appeared before the ED on April 22 and May 12.
He was handed over the summons in April at the Gymkhana Club, Jalandhar, just before he was to perform on stage.
Punjabi singers Miss Pooja, Jazzy B and Diljit Dosanjh too have been interrogated by the ED over overseas transactions by companies owned by them. These singers have also been on the radar of the Income Tax Department for some time.
