Progressive Conservative Leader Doug Ford has three campaign events today in Toronto, including an announcement at a retirement residence, before heading to Caledon, Ont., for an afternoon rally.
Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne visits the Community Living Toronto Creative Village Studio and the Muslim Welfare Centre in Toronto, then heads to Hastings, Ont., to attend a barbecue with supporters.
NDP Leader Andrea Horwath starts the day in Sudbury, Ont., with a discussion of the Tory and Liberal hydro plans, then attends a local campaign event in Orillia, Ont., before moving on to Barrie, Ont., for a meet and greet with local candidates.
Ford spent much of Friday’s debate attacking the New Democrats, who have traditionally enjoyed support in the North and are seeing momentum in the polls, while Wynne stayed on the defensive.
Horwath noted Ford hasn’t released a fully-costed platform, after the PC leader asked if the NDP is fighting for workers or serving those he called “downtown Toronto elites” and environmental “extremists.”
