Chandigarh, May 11,
The AAP legislator from Kotkapura, Kultar Singh Sandhwan on Friday wrote a letter to the Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh requesting him to give directions to the banks about checking farmers’ farads online in case they want to apply for the loan on their land in banks. Sandhwan said that the farmers of the state are being harassed by the banks by asking them to get hard copy of their farads from Farad Kendras established by the govt. for the purpose of getting loan on their land even when the whole record is available online on the govt, site.
Sandhwan said that that Farad Kendras in the state are not yet well equipped and only one computer is available there so in that case it takes so much time to get the farads. He said that the farmers of the state are already stressed and formalities like this will add to their worry. He asked the CM to personally look into the matter for the welfare of the state farmers.
