* 40 Years political rule of family results nil output

Chandigarh/Abohar, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today accused Jakhar family for using electorates of Fazilka, Abohar and Ferozepur just to gain political benefits since this family has done nothing for the betterment and development of border belt. He said Jakhar family has zero contribution in the development of Abohar, Fazilka.
Presiding over a massive gathering here on Hanumangarh Road after laying foundation stones for Sewerage Treatment Plant at a cost of Rs. 21 crore and Water Works at a cost of Rs. 7 crore, Mr. Badal said the move of local MLA Mr. Sunil Jakhar to create hurdles in ongoing development of Abohar was very unfortunate, which was an attempt to backstab voters of his own constituency by himself. He said the family has been ruling the constituency for the last 40 years only for their own vested political purposes aiming by befooling the electorates.
Mr. Badal said the foundations laid by him in the city would become a boon for the whole belt as the area had been suffering a lot in absence of Water Treatment Plant and Sewerage system. He said within next one and half year this area would have all basic amenities. Mr. Badal gave a clarion call to the voters of Abohar constituency to ensure the end of ‘self-centric’ political game being played by Jakhar family in the area by drubbing them like political elimination of congress party in recent Lok Sabha elections. He also said Punjab has always witnessed unprecedented development in SAD-BJP regime under Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal besides asserting that the ongoing development projects not only in one region but in entire state would be completed well in time including road network, supply of potable water, sewerage, sewerage treatment plants etc.
Answering a query regarding water cess, Mr. Badal said it was being introduced to ensure and execute proper cleansing of canals. He said this system would also ensure the availability of water for irrigation purposes at tail ends to facilitate state peasantry.
When asked about the status of ongoing development projects, Mr. Badal said he, himself, was overseeing all projects, which were in good pace. He said in coming two years the entire state would witness massive transformation having all requisite amenities and world class systems.
Referring to a query regarding steel bridge to be constructed in Abohar city, Mr. Badal said he has instructed the officers concerned of the state to pursue the issue with Union Railway Ministry in few days so that the physical work could be started.
Mr. Badal on the spot asked Health Minister Mr. Surjit Kumar Jyani to fulfill the demands of Abohar residents on priority. Mr. Jyani informed that the funds have been sanctioned the all the demands would be met soon.
Earlier Mr. Badal visited the homes of Balluana MLA Mr. Gurtej Singh Ghuriana, Mr. Ashok Ahuja, President SAD urban wing and Mr. Mahinder Partap Kali Bathla.
