Chandigarh, January 21 : The Shiromani Akali Dal today lashed out at Aap convener and Delhi Chief Minister Mr. Arvind Kejriwal for his ‘betrayal’ nature and questioned him that when he had betrayed Members of Parliament elected on AAP ticket and Convener of his own state unit, how can common people of the state trust him ?
In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Spokesman and advisor to Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was surprising that he was making tall promises to the people of the state that if AAP get majority in the state, whoso ever will be the Chief Minister of state, it will be his responsibility to get promises implemented in Punjab.
He said that people of four constituencies of Parliament from Punjab had elected representatives of his party for Parliament, but ironically he betrayed two members out the four because they had opposed his corrupt style of working and his non commitment towards working honestly.
Mr. Sirsa further said that not only this he betrayed the convener of his own party who had worked hard continuously for three years for making ground of the party in the state. He said that prior to this he had betrayed people of Delhi twice by first compromising with the Congress party for forming his own government whereas he had taken oath in the name of his children that he will not forge alliance with anybody. He said that then he betrayed people by not taking any action against Shiela Dikshit for her corruption cases. He said that he again betrayed people of Punjab by forging alliance for the present elections in the state again forgetting that he had taken oath of his children for not forging alliances. ‘‘if anyone makes list of his betrayals beginning from betrayal with Mr Anna Hazare then it will take months to complete,” added Mr. Sirsa.
The SAD leader said that though Mr. Kejriwal is trying to sell ‘Brand Kejriwal’ but the bitter truth is that people have already realized that his name is not ‘Brand Kejriwal’ but ‘Brand Betrayal’ for the common man. He said that this man who can take oath in name of Children for betraying people can betray anyone. Mr Sirsa said that now he should be ready to face the most humiliating defeat at the hands of Punjabis in the present elections for his uncommon nature.
