The Karnataka batsman impressed as he scored 388 runs from 13 innings. His strike-rate of 165.10 is the highest among the top-10 leading run-scorers. As wicketkeeper, he effected 15 dismissals.
Rishabh Pant
Runs 366 | Avg 26 | SR 166
The Delhi youngster showed why he’s seen as the next big thing in Indian cricket. He played a few destructive knocks and tore into the top bowlers without any fear or hesitation.
Ben Stokes

The England all-rounder was the costliest buy this season (Rs 14.5 crore) but he justified the price tag with his performance. He scored 316 runs, and picked 12 wickets.
Krunal Pandya
Wickets 10 | Eco 6.82 | Runs 243 | SR 136
He was Mumbai’s go-to man this season. On a few occasions, including the final, he pulled his team out of trouble with the bat, and at other times he starred with the ball.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Wickets 26 | Eco 7 Best 5/19
Turning out for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the paceman bagged 26 wickets to top the bowlers’ chart. He was Warner’s go-to-man and picked wickets whenever he was given the ball.
Jaydev Unadkat
Wickets 24 | Eco 7 Best 5/30
It turned out to be a comeback season of sorts for the almost forgotten bowler. The left-arm bowler picked 24 wickets and was instrumental in taking Pune into the final.
Jasprit Bumrah
Wickets 20 | ECO 7.4 Best3/7
Bumrah proved he’s India’s best death-over specialist as he scalped 20 wickets. Rohit Sharma threw the ball to him every time he needed to choke the flow of runs, and the bowler delivered consistently.
Rashid Khan
Wickets 17 | eco 6.6 Best 3/19
The young Afghan leg-spinner made everyone sit up and take notice with his variation, guile and control. Few could pick his googly and he ended up with an impressive tally of 17 wickets.
Steve Smith
Runs 472 | Avg 39 | SR 122
Steve Smith nearly won Pune the IPL title. Pune didn’t have many big names in their ranks but Smith got the best out of lesser-known players such as Rahul Tripathi, Washington Sundar and Jaydev Unadkat.
