Punjab Congress MLAs to meet on Monday morning before presidential vote


Chandigarh, July 14

The Punjab Congress legislative party members will meet here on Monday morning ahead of the polling for the Presidential elections.

Chief Minister and CLP leader Captain Amarinder Singh has convened the meeting, scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 17.

The party MLAs, led by Captain Amarinder, will then go to the Vidhan Sabha to cast their votes in the presidential election, for which the Congress, joined by other opposition parties at the Centre, has nominated Meira Kumar.

Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief whip Hardyal Singh Kamboj has sent out a request for all members to attend the meeting.
