People want Clean Cities instead of false promises of Smart cities : Sunil Jakhar

Chandigarh,  While hitting over the false promises of Bharitya Janta party to make smart cities, Leader of Opposition has advised the state government that people of the state want clean cities instead of these kinds of false promises. He said that people of the state have been facing the sanitation problems in their cities due to the ongoing strikes of Municipal Employees.
While issuing his statement, Sunil Jakhar also mentioned that which state government could not solve the problems of their employees in the municipal corporations within seven years of their rule, that government how can be fulfill the dreams of smart cities in the Punjab? He said that since the year 2011 municipal employees have been only receiving false assurances about their demands, Manoranjan Kalia, then Local bodies’ minister had also assured the employees to fulfill their demands but nothing could be done so far for these employees.
 He also urged to the chief minister  S. Parkash Singh Badal to interfere in the matter, which has been pending under a BJP minister and also urged to provide the immediate solution to the problems of common man. He also slammed BJP for not providing the immediate solution as they have been dealing the concerned department and it their prime duty towards their urban voters as they pretend as the popular party in the urban Punjab.
He ironically blamed BJP that people of the state have been celebrating the 100 days of the central government led by the BJPprime minister Narender Modi but it’s on the blocked sewerage lines and bundles of garbage, which has been prevailing in the cities of the Punjab.
