Girls again, clinch top three spots in Class X PSEB exams
Chandigarh, The Punjab Government today constituted a high level committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary School education to work out a transparent method of procuring paper to be used by Punjab School Education Board, other government department and government undertaking.
According to an official spokesperson this five member committee besides Chairman would have Secretary Printing and Stationary, Chairman Punjab School Education Board, a member of Finance Department in the rank of Additional Secretary as members. Mr. Gurwaryam Singh, Controller Printing and Stationary would be the Member Secretary of the committee.
The spokesperson said that Chief Secretary Mr. Sarvesh Kaushal constituted this committee keeping in view that different boards and corporations and departments especially Punjab School Education Board that consume large quantity of paper were adopting different procedures of procurement of paper.
The Chief Secretary has mandated the committee to negotiate with paper producing companies to come out with competitive rates for paper that would result in substantial saving for the government.
