Indians Immigrate To Canada In Record Numbers
Chandigarh, January 20 – Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today said nothing Navjot Sidhu said could be taken at face value as he was working as a paid employee of the Congress.
In a statement here, the SAD president said Sidhu had always been ready to sell himself to the highest bidder. “Yesterday he was with the BJP, after that with AAP and now with Congress. Tomorrow he may be with someone else”.
Mr Badal said like political parties, Sidhu has also changed his political Gurus repeatedly. He said earlier Sidhu used to call Shri Arun Jaitely as his political guru. But when his guru came to Amritsar to contest elections he abandoned his guru. Lately he made Arvind Kejriwal is guru for a short period before choosing Rahul Gandhi. This is the same Rahul whom he used to call Pappu. This is the same family which stormed the Harmandar Sahib with tanks and artillery. Despite all this Sidhu has chosen to eat his words and praise them now”.
Asking the people how they could trust someone who had changed his political fathers with so much ease, Mr Badal said Sidhu should first tell Punjabis why he did not find Punjab full of drugs when he contested thrice from Amritsar as a BJP candidate. “At that time he used to openly admit that he had won because of the SAD and that he would not be able to repay this debt even with his own skin”.
The SAD president said the truth of the matter was that Sidhu was trying to please Rahul Gandhi at the cost of youth of Punjab. Asking Sidhu why he was ruining the future of the youth of Punjab by speaking lies, he said Rahul’s claim of 70 per cent youth of Punjab being drug addicts had already been disproved by various surveys and agencies. “Despite this Sidhu is parroting Rahul’s lies to get into his good books. He is angling to become CM of Punjab and he seems to be ready to even lick the Gandhi scion’s feet to achieve this”, he added.
Mr Badal said the people of Amritsar had seen through Sidhu. “He is unable to tell why he is been missing from Amritsar for so many years. He has not been able to tell why he did not come to Amritsar for last seven months after resigning from the BJP. The truth is that he was looking after his own commercial interests in Mumbai. He has come now for 20 days and will go back to his comedy shows after the elections”.
