Chandigarh, January 9 : The Shiromani Akali Dal has described Congress manifesto as a bundle of lies and devoid of merits as well as logic and said that it has depicted that the Congress party has a very poor visionary approach towards overall development of the state of Punjab.In a statement released from the party head office here today, the SAD Spokesman and advisor to Punjab Deputy CM, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that it was most surprising that the manifesto has carried promises of reforms in those fields which have witness tremendous progress during the last ten years of the SAD-BJP rule.Listing such follies of the Congress in manifesto, Mr. Sirsa said that reforms have been promises in field of power and reality is that the state already is powersurplus, similar is case of reforms in administrative front for which the Congress failed to see establishment of 2174 Sewa kendras and Sanjh Kendra which are delivering services to the people through system of e- governance.Laughing at the promise of no new canal construction, Mr. Sirsa said that the man who himself led the campaign for establishment of SYL and offered silver spade to then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi for digging up canal is now trying to absolve himself from the blames. He said that Capt Amarinder Singh is the biggest traitor of the Punjab and farmers of the state from whom he snatched free power facility provided by the SAD-BJP combine.Lashing out to the PPCC Chief for trying to mislead the youth with promise of 1 lakh taxis and 25 thousand tractors, the SAD leader said that the man who imposed blanket ban on recruitment and least cared for education of the youth is now promising such jobs to the youth whose scope of progress is known to everybody. He also strongly criticized the Congress party for making false promises to dalits and other economically weaker sections of society and said that the party which has already opposed Atta Dal scheme before the Election Commission of India can’t be trusted to deliver good to the poor.Mr. Sirsa said that the Congress party particularly Capt Amarinder Singh has a history to betray the people and betrayal is in the blood of the Congress party which can’t be trusted for all these hollow and fake promises. He said that the voters of the state have already made up their mind to mandate the SAD-BJP combine to deliver the goods for successive third time and Congress should be prepared to face the worst defeat in the history of the state.
