Chandigarh/New Delhi- February23: The Khalsa dispensaries would be opened in different parts of the capital to provide health infrastructure to the Sikh community. Besides, free travel service from Delhi to Amritsar would be initiated for the Sikh devotees’ pilgrimage to the holy city.

This was stated by DSGMC general secretary and SAD candidate for ward number 9 Punjabi Bagh, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa while addressing a series of election meeting in different colonies and societies of the Ward. He said that we have fulfilled above 80 percent promises made during previous election regarding improvement of DSGMC affairs and welfare of the Sikh community. He said if SAD comes to power we will ensure complete transparency in DSGMC affairs and work for the welfare of the Sikh community.

He further said that to tackle the problem of unemployment among Sikh Youths, Khalsa Placement Employment Bureau and Khalsa International Placement Centre would be opened to help them in finding adequate employment. Apart from it, an international education and sports centre would be opened for the Sikh youths having keen interest in sports and preferring to go abroad.

Stressing on the need of Sikh heritage to be passed on the next generation, Mr Sirsa said that there would be a grand celebrations on 550th Parkash Purv of Guru Nanak Dev in 2019. Keeping the memories of Sikh generals alive, the 300th birth anniversary of Baba Jassa Singh Ahluwalia would be celebrated with pomp and show in 2018.

Asking the Sikh voters to compare his performance with his rival S. Paramjit Singh Sarna before making any choice, he said,”On one hand, Mr Sarna conspired to close many branches of Shri Harkishan Public School while I took concrete steps to reopen the closed branches of the same school. Mr. Sarna looted the educational institutes while I graced the same institutes with modern facilities. Mr. Sarna believes in superstitions and follows the rituals which are against the Sikh tenets. I believe only in Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and live accordingly.”

He appealed the Sikh community to vote for SAD to maintain transparency in DGSMC affairs as well as for the welfare of the Sikh community.
