The first ODI of the five-match series between India and West Indies was abandoned after rain started pouring during the Indian innings here at the Queen’s Park Oval on Friday. The rain did let up for a bit, and the water and the covers were cleared too, the hosts were then set 194 in 26 overs, but more rain arrived before they could begin their chase and the match officials finally called off the game. Bishoo was the pick of the bowlers for the home team as he kept India tied down through a spell of 10-0-39-1. Wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav made his ODI debut as he was chosen over star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The two teams will next lock horns on June 25 at the same venue.
