JALANDHAR, August 30: Punjab Congress today advised expelled party leader Jagmeet Brar to have some self respect and not stoop so low and beg entry into the Aam Aadmi Party.

Reacting to his desperation by saying he was ready to join the AAP unconditionally, senior party leader and PCC vice president Avatar Henry reminded Brar that he had been twice the MP of the Congress besides having served as the Chief Whip.

He said, “we understand your frustration as you have been turned into a political refugee without a home and hearth but that should not mean that you will go begging around and seeking unsolicited entry here and there”.

Henry said, Brar was himself to be blamed for his plight as he had betrayed the same party and leaders who had given him everything. He pointed out, Brar had not even spared the Congress president Ms Sonia Gandhi in his criticism and the vice president Rahul Gandhi who had reposed so much faith and trust in him despite his controversial background. He said, Brar can never find peace and rehabilitation as he has always tried to bite the hand that fed him.
