New Delhi: Keeping up with its tradition, Google has released a doodle to honour the 114th birthday of the iconic film director Eiji Tsuburaya, the man behind famous Japanese monster flicks like Godzilla and Ultraman.

Tsuburaya is famed for coining a style called Tokusatsu, a Japanese form of live action film which he has thoroughly used in his monster movies. And now on his birthday, Google gives you a chance to emulate the same.

The interactive doodle invites surfers to play a game to make monster movie settings. With ten steps, the doodle helps you create a series of scenes for a short Tokusatsu monster film of your own. So get ready to destroy tanks and spaceships and fight with giant godzillas and emerge as a superhero!

Considered one of the most influential movie visionaries of all time, Tsuburaya was hailed as the ‘Godfather’ of Japanese special effects.

He worked on around 250 films in total and died on 25 January 1970 in Ito, Japan.
