Delhi police seizes liquor of Sarna group

New Delhi/February 25: A large quantity of liquor allegedly brought in by the Sarna Group to influence the voters during DSGMC polls seized from a Bolero jeep parked in front of house number 10/52 house in the West Punjabi Bagh area on Saturday.

According to sources, the SAD candidate for Ward number 9, Punjabi Bagh, Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa received a message from an unknown person that a huge amount of liquor has been brought in to influence the voters of the area. Mr. Sirsa immediately reached on the spot with his supporters and inquired about the questionable jeep. The owner of the jeep, who was found to be a supporter of the Sarna group, started hurling abuses at the SAD candidate. But Mr. Sirsa remained unprovoked and called the local police immediately. Within minutes a police party reached on the spot and compounded the jeep packed with liquor cases and took it to the police station.

When media persons were taking the photographs of the incident, the jeep owner got into a scuffle with a reporter. He grabbed his camera and tried to break it, but was overpowered by the police timely.
