CASE REGISTERED AGAINST IMPERSONATOR FOR FAKE CORRESPONDENCE IN NAME OF PUNJAB SC COMMISSION

Chandigarh, February 15: The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has got registered a case against a person issuing fake letters in the name of the commission to ensure necessary action against the culprit.

Disclosing this, Vice-Chairman of the commission Rajinder Guddu and member Gian Chand Diwali said that a complaint was received by the commission regarding one Satnam Singh Jodha R/o Village Jodha, Tehsil Baba Bakala, District Amritsar carrying out correspondence with the government offices posing as alleged OSD of the commission member Tarsem Singh Sialka. They further said that on probing the matter it was found out that Tarsem Singh Sialka has appointed no OSD and neither carried out any correspondence with any government office.

Taking strict notice of the complaint by Mr. Tarsem Singh Sialka, the Chairman of the Commission Mr. Rajesh Bagha had directed the Punjab Police to carry out probe against the accused and inform the commission after registering a case. Pursuant to that, the SSP (Rural), Amritsar has registered a case against accused Satnam Singh Jodha u/s 419 & 420 and informed the commission.

Mr. Bagha further said that Mr. Rajinder Guddu and Mr. Gian Chand Diwali are looking into the matter from all angles. He termed it a very serious issue of the misuse of powers of SC Commission. He further detailed that in future if anybody blackmails, or threatens the public in the name of the commission then the matter should immediately be brought to the Chandigarh office of the commission so a strict action against such anti-social elements could be initiated.
