Bhagwant-Mann-4

Chandigarh, Aam Aadmi Party on Sunday criticized National Youth Congress President Raja Warring for his statement that the reservation system should be scrapped and to be made it on economic based. Condemning the statement MP Sangrur and Chairman Election Campaign Committee Bhagwant Mann said that it shows the anti Dalit and backward class face of Congress.

Mann said that Dalits and backward classes have a long history of oppression in India and Congress is responsible for their poor condition to an extent. The atrocities on Dalits and backward classes have increased many folds during the present Akali-BJP regime. There is great need to uplift the living standard of these classes by providing them extra facilities so it is the need of the hour to continue the present reservation system.

“AAP is committed to bring the Dalits and Backward classes in the mainstream of the society. For the purpose, we are drafting a manifesto especially for the deprived section of society” Mann said. He asked Raja Warring whether he thinks that the present situation of Dalits is at par with the other sections of society.

Mann asked Punjab Congress Chief Capt. Amarinder Singh to clarify his stand on the reservation system in the Punjab and country. “Maharaja should come out of his autocratic setup and clarify whether he supports the statement given by his partyman and if not, then would he criticize Warring for it
