Girls again, clinch top three spots in Class X PSEB exams
Chandigarh, January 15: State Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh is to take on Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal while Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu is to confront Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal in Jalalabad.
Sourced maintained that final decision had been taken and only formal announcement was awaited.
Olympian Pargat Singh would seek re-election from Jalandhar Cantt while Navjot Singh Sidhu would contest from Amritsar East.
It may be mentioned that Sidhu had formally joined the Congress today morning. Pargat, who has joined from the Akali Dal, had insisted on contesting from Jalandhar Cantt and turned down the offer of Nakodar.
