Chandigarh, May 26: The Aam Aadmi Party MLAs would march to the residence of Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh in case Power Minister Rana Gurjit Singh is not sacked by then for his alleged involvement in sand quarry scam.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, AAP Legislature Party chief H S Phoolka referred to the report about said quarries having been allotted to four ex-employees of Rana Sugars owned by the minister saying these were benami deals.

Demanding immediate sack of Rana Gurjit Singh, Phoolka said it was ironic that the Amarinder government was resorting to the same style although the Congress in its manifesto had promised to end mafia raj in the state.

He said a special committee should be constituted to probe such irregularities during Akali regime after the sack of the Power Minister. He also pointed to a para in the Governor’s Address on the conflict of interest issue in which it had been stated that any minister found guilty would be removed immediately.
