Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President and Member Parliament from Gurdaspur Mr. Sunil Jakhar today sought the resignation of AAP leader Sukhpal Singh Khaira on moral ground as Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed his petition challenging the trial court proceedings against him under NDPS Act.
In a statement issued here today He said that now Mr Khaira has no moral right to stay clinged to his post of leader of opposition in legislative assembly. He suggested Khaira to come forward to set high moral values in politics by resigning from his post after Honorable high court rejected his application.
Sunil Jakhar also challenged APP National Convener Mr. Arvind Kejriwal to clear his party’s stand on the issue. He said that Kejriwal was calling his ‘party with difference’, but now it is right time to prove his words by shaking Mr. Khaira from reputed constitutional post. He asked Kejriwal that when he would take decision regarding Khaira.
