Chandigarh, August 30: The Aam Aadmi Party today preferred not to react to the offensive from sacked party chief Sucha Singh Chhotepur on the logic that probe was on against him.

The supporters of Chhotepur had last evening served ultimatum on AAP national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to re-instate him by September 1 with total powers or face split. They have warned to show black flags to the leaders from outside Punjab headed by Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak.

Sanjay Singh refused to enter into any controversy at a press conference that had been organized to welcome Harmail Singh Tohra, son-in-law of Akali stalwart Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tohra, his wife Kuldip Kaur and son into the party fold. Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann was also present.

Sanjay said the party would wait for the report of 2-member committee set up to investigate corruption charge against him that has surfaced in a sting operation.

He also denied that Kejriwal had made any derogatory remarks against Sikh religion. It may mentioned that Kejriwal had reacted angrily about Chhotepur having stated that he was not taken into confidence on the preparation of youth manifesto. He had said what would have happened in case he had been ex-communicated from Sikh religion.

The manifesto had carried picture of the Golden Temple along with party symbol broom on its cover that amounts to sacrilege.

Sanjay Singh offered to be probed by the CBI into the allegations of funding of the party by the radicals leveled by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
